  20.           the standard output, and repeats this process until the end
  21.           of input.  For each database _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e to be searched, if an
  22.           index _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e....iiii created by ggggiiiinnnnddddxxxxbbbbiiiibbbb(1) exists, then it will
  23.           be searched instead; each index can cover multiple
